I can still remember how it felt, now 40 years later; waking up, unzipping the tent, and being greeted by a combination of refreshing morning dew, the smell of burning wood, and hot coffee as the sun peaked at me through the trees. The feeling is peaceful and the warmth of the memory so vivid. My parents met in the wild lands of the Boundary Water Canoe Area in northern Minnesota and still celebrate at the pebble beach on the shores of Lake Superior where they had their first kiss. I was in a canoe about the same time I was in a car seat and spent more nights in a tent when we traveled than in hotels.

We lived in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, where my parents worked as teachers and enjoyed summers off to reinvigorate themselves in the wilds of Canada and throughout the North Coast of the United States. We camped from Texas to Alaska, from Vancouver Island to St. Johns Newfoundland, from Key West to deep in the Pre-Cambrian lakes of Northern Saskatchewan on horseback, in a canoe or in our fluorescent yellow Volkswagen van (yes, it was as awesome as you are picturing it). In those adventures, I felt the strongest connections with my family, myself, and the restorative powers of nature.
But life happens. We get consumed by the everyday, and time for adventure becomes less and less… until it happens. It happened to my parents, who spent their 8 weeks off every summer to get back to their roots. It happens to me when my very corporate life starts to suffocate me and I spend a week walking about the waterfall country of North Carolina, Oregon, or Tennessee, where now I call home. And if you are reading this, it is happening to you. The calling from nature to start a new adventure.
That is the reason we created Your Glamping Adventure. Unlike other glamping experiences, we want to take you on an adventure that will connect you to the earth, the woods, the sounds of nature exploding into a spring morning or an autumn sunset. Everything we are doing is motivated by the healing power of connection. With all our properties, you will not see rentals on top of each other, you will not see jamming the most people possible into a space, but instead they will give you room to breathe and reconnect.
We understand embarking on a camping adventure is a mountain most are not willing to try and climb. In our already busy lives, it would create a massive amount of new stress, and trying to convince loved ones to “rough it” with the bugs and the heat or cold may be a bridge too far. Our Goal is to take all of that stress off of you, so you get the accommodations that would make a 5 star hotel blush, views and natural experiences that will make the squirrels envious, with an easy button to experience the natural spaces to their fullest.
We only own unique properties, ones off the normal beaten path, and make them fully accessible for you to enjoy. Our digital world is so two-dimensional, but when you get the multi-dimensional experience of feeling it with all of your senses, it is something that rekindles all of the previous awesome adventures in nature you have had and stokes the fire for many, many more.
